I don't usually give 10 stars for a 3 star hotel, but Aelius deserves an excellent rating. The location is very convenient if you travel by train, literally 5 minutes from the station. At the same time, we had no problems in the area, the apartment is located in a building with a doorman and cameras, there are great restaurants around, where you can eat in the evening and walk home without worries. There is all kinds of convenient transport nearby, and we walked to the Colosseum (about 30 minutes) and other nearby attractions. The staff is extremely friendly and at the same time - unobtrusive. There is only someone in the apartment when needed, which made the stay for our family very comfortable, we had the apartment all to ourselves. Also, the communication before the trip and about some changes in our plans was excellent - the place provided us with an additional room for another family member and responded immediately to all arrival times of our large group. Thank you, dear people, for this responsiveness! The rooms are actually part of an apartment, with a small shared hallway where there is a coffee machine stocked with good coffee capsules. Our apartment faced the boulevard and yet it was quiet, very cool (even chilly at times, but there is air conditioning that can warm the room up in a few minutes). There are thick curtains and overall we slept very peacefully and pleasantly. Everywhere is very clean. There was tea, small sweets and Nescafe in the room, which were constantly replenished. Some of the bathrooms are small, but nevertheless comfortable enough and we did not feel any inconvenience. In our opinion, the place is excellent value for money.

The room is one of three (?) in a converted apartment in a clean, well-kept apartment block - there is even a concierge! The area is also surprisingly clean for Rome so close to the station, and one feels quite safe at night - except for the road-works that make getting there a bit of a nightmare, but that's only temporary. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from Termini station and perhaps half an hour to the city center. It is on the second floor but there is a lift. The room is good-sized, larger than many hotel rooms, and has modern and good-quality fittings, and spotlessly clean. There is a refrigerator and kettle, good for relaxing after a hard day out (a microwave in the reception area would be nice). There is also an air conditioner but we didn't need to use it. The hosts are pleasant and helpful. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay.

I like the location because it was close to the train station and easily walkable to many popular spots in Rome. Some people might feel it's far, but it's a very walkable distance. Maria was a lovely host and very welcoming. I love her vibe and attitude toward her guests. We felt very safe staying here. There are three layers of safety you have the massive door (typical in Italy) before you walk into the building, then you have bank style door before you can enter the hallway where your room is, and then you have another really big door to enter your room so we didn't feel at any point unsafe. Additionally, there are many restaurants nearby where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

Such a great spot to stay, easy to get around to the hotspots! Short walk to Trevi fountain. We loved using the electric scooters to get around the city. Breakfast provided at a cafe near by which was fresh and a nice addition to get your day stared. Great restaurant just a couple of doors down.. Lovely owner she helped us a lot with places to go and see! Highly recommend the room was very clean and large for Rome. Anything we needed the owner assisted, would highly recommend to all.
